description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>Ayres Associates provided the Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization with digital, 4-band orthoimagery services in 2020. The aerial imagery was collected on April 16th, 17th and 19th, 2020 using a Microsoft Vexcel UltraCam Eagle M2 sensor mounted in a fixed-wing aircraft equipped with Inertial Measurment Unit (IMU) and Airborne GPS. Aerial imagery was collected to support 3-inch ground sample distance (GSD) orthoimagery to meet the National Mapping Accuracy Standard (NMAS) for 1"=50' scale mapping. The orthoimagery meets a horizontal accuracy of 0.7 feet root mean square error (RMSE), which equates to 1.2 feet at 95% confidence level. Resultant orthoimagery was rectified to a DEM surface created from new LiDAR data acquired in 2020. Orthoimagery was delivered in PLSS quarter-section GeoTIFF and PLSS section generation 4 MrSID tiles along with a project-wide MrSID mosaic and individual MrSID mosaics of the East of Missouri River, West of Missouri River. Additional Information: The Bismarck-Mandan MPO is a certified planning entity in the State of North Dakota and is comprised of the City of Bismarck, City of Mandan, City of Lincoln, and portions of Burleigh and Morton Counties.
